John 10:10 is a scripture we often share, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” When Jesus said this statement, it was in the context of his description of Himself as both The Gate of the sheep pen and The Good Shepherd. While we may have an enemy who wants to “steal, kill and destroy,” Jesus is the One that both places us in the safety of his care and guides us as we follow his voice.
